The “Cboe Global Markets Monthly Volume & RPC/Net Revenue Capture Report” datasheet contains an overview of selected February trading statistics and market share by industry segment, volume in selected index products and RPC capture /net, which is reported on a single month lag, across all lines of business.

February 2022 Trading Volume Highlights

  • Total volume across Cboe’s four options exchanges was 250.9 million contracts, the highest February volume on record. Total ADV options were 13.2 million contracts for the month.
  • Options trading on the S&P 500 Index (SPX) during global trading hours hit a new high in February, with a record ADV of 31,846 contracts.
  • MSCI® EAFE® (MXEA) Index Options set a new daily volume record with 6,793 contracts traded on February 25.
  • Cboe BIDS Canada, Cboe’s new Canadian equity block trading offering, successfully launched on February 1st with strong buying demand.
  • Cboe Periodic Auctions announced a record ADNV traded of 2.0 billion euros in February, breaking the previous record of ADNV 1.9 billion euros traded in January 2022.
